Untouched Garden

This client had not touched the garden in over 4 years. A nature project at the heart, had been taken a little too far! We spent a long time in this garden clearing, to then decide on different areas, introduce a lawn, gravel and beds! This has been a thoroughly satisfying project, which we now focus on maintaining.

This photo shows the view out of the back door when I first arrived, I had quite the clearance on my hands!

Beginning to uncover the patio area at the top of the garden.

Moving further into the garden, deciding on which plants to keep and which to remove. We ended up keeping a rhododendron and a hydrangea at this end of the garden.

Making some good progress! We decided to lay some weed mat between the patio and what will be the lawn, to later add stone on the surface.

With all weeds finally cleared, we decided to have a bed down the right-hand side of the garden.

Fast-forward a few months, we have added stone and a divider to ensure the grass doesn’t try to spread, and to add a clean look to the garden. The hydrangea is also enjoying the sunlight after being covered over by weeds!
